CRAWFORD CABINET CARD WITH IVORY GRIPPED COLT NAVY REVOLVER. Seated view by Wittick & Russell, NM. Captain Jack wearing fur lined buckskins, Indian sash, wampum belt, Stetson style hat, Colt model 1851 percussion Navy revolver with ivory grips protruding from sash. Inscribed at bottom in purple ink: "Capt Jack Crawford / Chief of Scouts under Col. Buell / in the Victoria Campaign NM / 1880". CONDITON: image quality very good & sharp, board mount is scuffed, stained. PROVENANCE: Thomaston Place Auction lot 513, June 25, 2004; Martin Lane Historic & Western Americana Lifetime Collection.
