AND FOREIGN STOCKS AND HANDGUARDS. 1) U.S. Model 1917 Walnut Stock Set. Stock is marked at the tip of the forend w/ "W" indicating Winchester manufacture. This stock does not appear to have been fitted to a rifle, the reason being a repair in the right side of the butt, approx. 1 1/2" square, likely to cover a knot or other blemish. No metal parts are fitted except the rear guard screw bushing. The rear handguard is marked inside w/ "W". Front handguard is marked w/ "P" & "A". CONDITION: stock has a good as sanded appearance, but has numerous handling marks. The repair is arsenal quality workmanship. The handguards have a worn arsenal rework finish & both have lengthy repaired cracks. 2) U.S. Model 1917 Rifle Assembled Handguards. 29 handguards in original Remington factory packaging. One box has the factory sealing tape & was not opened. The first box label markings include "(10) HAND GUARD, Front Assembled / For U. S. Rifle Cal. 30 / Model of 1917 / (ILION) / Date Packed MAR - - 1919". The second box label markings are "Hand Guard-Front Assembled / For U. S. RIFLE Cal. 30 / MODEL OF 1917 / (ILION) / Packed by W' Rockefeller / Date Packed FEB - - 1919". The next package is a partial factory wrapper containing 9 handguards w/ a similar label. CONDITION: handguards appear in unissued as-new condition. Packaging will have wear, staining & handling marks. 3) Unmarked Model 98k Hardwood Stock & Handguard. Unissued replacement stock has 98k features including cup buttplate, sling slot & grasping grooves. Stock appears to be beech & is not laminated construction. No metal parts are present. CONDITION: stock in very good condition showing light high point wear & scattered handling marks. 4) British Lee-Enfield No.4 Stock Set. Hardwood stock set appears unissued & consists of a buttstock in the original wrapper which is marked "STOCK BUTT SHORT". Wrapper is partially open. Stock bolt & washer are not present. Forend is complete w/ front & rear handguards. CONDITION: very good unissued condition w/ only light handling wear. 5) British Lee-Enfield No.4 Replacement Hardwood Stock Set. Buttstock marked "S" at heel & "broad arrow" under grip. Forend complete w/ front & rear handguards. CONDITION: stock set is unissued & has only very light handling wear. 6): British No.4 Lee-Enfield Stocks. Two unissued buttstocks marked "S" at heels & w/ "broad arrow" markings under grips. CONDITION: both buttstocks have only very light handling wear. 7) Lee-Enfield No.1 MKIII Unissued Replacement Forend & Handguards. Forearm is marked w/ the "D" used by the Enfield Lock Arsenal. CONDITION: forend & handguards have only very light handling wear. 8) Lee-Enfield No.1 MKIII Unissued Replacement Forend & Handguards. Forearm is marked w/ the "D" used by the Enfield Lock Arsenal. CONDITION: forend & handguards have only very light handling wear. 9) Russian Model 91-30 Hardwood Stock. Stock fitted w/ sling slots has the square arsenal overhaul mark on the right side of the butt. Stock includes cleaning rod, buttplate, barrel bands, front & rear sight & stock tip. CONDITION: stock w/ its arsenal refinish shows considerable wear. Toe of buttstock is split approx. 1 1/4" up & 6" forward. 10) Assorted Grouping of 12 Handguards for Various 20th Century Rifles Including Mauser & Lee-Enfield. CONDITION: handguards are heavily worn w/ cracking, chipping & arsenal rework finishes. (02-24590-9/RW). NON-GUN. $500-700.
