REVOLVER CARTRIDGE BELTS. The belts all feature pockets for revolver cartridges plus rimless eagle snaps. 1) GREEN WEB MODEL 1910 MILLS BELT. Belt has 4 ammunition pockets & is marked on end tab "MADE BY / MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO. / WOCESTER, MASS. U.S.A.". Belt has single sliding brass keeper. Brass fittings are Mills Bronze finish. CONDITION: belt has light wear but moderate staining throughout. Brass fittings have considerable loss of finish and are turning patina. 2) GREEN WEB MODEL 1903. Belt has 8 pockets for 38 cal. revolver ammunition. Belt is unmarked except for stamped "59" on the left end tab & a stencil unit marking "1B24". Belt tabs fitted w/ 2 brass hooks. CONDITION: belt is well worn w/ some fading & staining having sm. areas of fray on pocket & flap corners. 3) MODEL 1903 KHAKI WEB BELT. 8 pockets for 38 Caliber revolver ammunition. Belt end tabs w/ 2 hooks have multiple patent dates. Belt is otherwise unmarked. CONDITION: The right end of the belt has 2 areas of fraying due to the removal of an unknown attachment which fastened through the belt. The belt has sm. areas of loose stitching and fraying. Metal fittings have considerable loss of dark finish leaving a brown patina. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows. (02-22167/RW). $1,000-1,500.
