These edged items date from the first half of the 20th century. All have their sheaths and scabbards. 1) MACHETE - Overall length 19 7/8". Blade length 15". This Machete is unmarked on either the tool or scabbard but is a close copy of the Collins No. 1005 as shown in the book: US MILITARY KNIVES by COLE and was likely purchased locally in the Phillipines. Hardwood handle. Bright blade. Brown tooled leather scabbard with brass tips. CONDITION: blade has been cleaned but has areas of patina and hairline staining. Lightly worn handle has added finish. Scabbard has wear, flexing and staining. / 2) MODEL 1904 HOSPITAL CORPS KNIFE - Overall length: 17 3/8". Blade length: 12". Bright blade with rounded tip is marked on the left ricasso "SA ", flaming bomb,"1911". Right ricasso marked "US 16613". Brass crossguard. Walnut grips fastened with 3 brass rivets. Lanyard hole at butt. Brown leather scabbard with nickel plated brass throat. Scabbard markings on back are not legible. CONDITION: blade has scattered spots of very fine pitting. Grips have light wear and handling marks. Scabbard has wear, staining and scratches. Stitching is generally tight. Brass throat has worn nickel. / 3) U.S.N. MARK 1 KNIFE - Overall length: 9 5/8". Blade length: 5". Left ricasso marked "U.S.N. MARK 1". Right ricasso "CAMILLUS" "N.Y.". Leather washer handle. Grey plastic scabbard marked "USN MK1". CONDITION: blade retains much of its parkerized finish. Grip has very light wear. Scabbard has very light wear and staining. / 4) U.S.N. MARK 2 KNIFE - Overall length: 12". Blade length:7". Fullered blade marked on left ricasso "U.S.N. MARK 2". Right ricasso marked "CAMILLUS .N.Y.".Grooved leather washer handle. Circular butt cap retained by pin. Brown leather sheath, stitched and riveted. Marked on front "U.S.N.". CONDITION: blade retains a good amount of its original parkerizing. Handle has light wear and staining. Scabbard has light wear and staining. stitching is tight. / 5) M3 TRENCH KNIFE - Overall length: 11 3/4". Blade length: 6 3/4". Front of crossguard marked "USM3 IMPERIAL". Crossguard bent forward for thumb rest. Leather washer handle with 6 grooves. Green plastic scabbard marked"USM8A1". CONDITION: blade retains most of its parkerized finish. Leather handle has wear and staining. Scabbard has wear and staining. / 6) US MODEL 1917 BAYONET - Overall length: 21 3/4". Blade length: 17". Winchester made bayonet with fullered blade marked on left ricasso encircled "W" and "1917".Right ricasso has" U.S.", flaming bomb, eagle head acceptance mark and "X". 2 Groove walnut grips. Green colored leather scabbard with steel throat and tip. Scabbard marked on back "JEWEL-1918". CONDITION: blade is turning grey with small spots of oxidation. Grips have moderate wear and staining. Scabbard has moderate wear and staining. / 7) U.S. M-1 BAYONET. Overall length: 14 1/2". Blade length: 9 7/8". Marked only on left ricasso with "U C", flaming bomb, "US". Grooved plastic grips. Green plastic scabbard with steel throat. Model 1910 belt hook. Scabbard has " US" in flaming bomb. CONDITION: bayonet and scabbard retain a large degree of a moderately worn finish. / 8) White parade pistol belt in worn stained condition. PROVENANCE: from The lifelong Collection of Jim Williams.
