1) U.S. Model 1816 Socket Bayonet. 16" triangular blade marked "U.S." on top. Blade also has a flute extending 8 1/2" back from the point. "T" slot w/ reinforced bridge. Neck is marked on right side w/ "A". Socket marked on right side w/ "6" & small oval cartouche. CONDITION: bayonet has turned overall patina w/ moderate wear. 2) U.S. Model 1873 Socket Bayonet. 18" triangular blade. 21" overall. Bayonet is unmarked. Locking ring is present. CONDITION: bayonet retains traces of original blue turning gray & patina w/ spots of light oxidation. 3) U.S. Model 1892 Krag Bayonet. 11 1/2" bright fullered blade. 16 1/8" overall. Smooth wood grips retained by two rivets. Blade is marked on left ricasso "1896" & right ricasso "U.S.". Blued steel scabbard w/ Phelps type belt attachment. CONDITION: blade has been sharpened, having moderate wear, turning gray. Balance of metal turning gray & patina. Grips have notable wear, staining & numerous missing chips. Scabbard shows cleaning turning overall gray & patina w/ light wear. 4) Remington Model 1917 Bayonet. 17" fullered parkerized blade. 21 3/4" overall. Left ricasso marked w/ "1917 / encircled REMINGTON". Right ricasso has eagle head acceptance mark, "flaming bomb" & "U.S.". Smooth walnut grips w/ two vertical grooves. Leather scabbard w/ metal throat in tip. Equipped w/ M-1910 belt hook. Scabbard has heavy coating of green paint. CONDITION: blade & balance of metal retain a large percentage of the gray arsenal rework Parkerization w/ light wear & spots of oxidation. Grips have light wear & several tiny cracks. Scabbard appears in good serviceable condition. 5) U.S. Model 1917 Bayonet. 16 7/8" bright fullered blade. 21 3/4" overall. Blade is marked on left ricasso "1917 / encircled REMINGTON". Right ricasso marked "eagle head acceptance mark / 15 / flaming bomb / U.S.". Smooth walnut grips w/ two vertical grooves. Leather scabbard w/ metal throat & tip. Leather frog w/ 1910 belt hook riveted to back of throat. Frog is marked "JEWELL / 1917". Balance of leather has remains of its original green finish. CONDITION: blade & grip of bayonet turning gray & patina w/ moderate wear. Blade has been sharpened. Grips have light wear & staining w/ several small cracks. Original green leather scabbard has wear, scuffing & flexing. Metal parts are overall gray & patina. 6) U.S. Model 1942 Bayonet. 15 3/4" parkerized fullered blade. 20 1/2" overall. Blade is marked on left ricasso "AFH / flaming bomb / U.S. / 1942". Ribbed plastic grips. Incomplete green plastic scabbard. Scabbard is missing the throat portion. CONDITION: blade retains traces of parkerization, turning overall worn gray & patina. Balance of metal is patina. Grips are worn w/ handling marks. Crossguard is bent forward at the bottom. Scabbard is cracked & open at the tip. 7) U.S. Model 1917 Shotgun Bayonet. Manufactured in the 1960s. Produced in Canada by General Cutlery. 16 3/4" fullered parkerized blade. 21 1/2" overall. Metal at grip is a bluish ceramic-like coating. Checkered plastic grips secured by two screws. Green plastic scabbard w/ metal throat marked "U.S.-M1917 / B.A.IND.". CONDITION: blade retains a large degree of its original parkerized finish. Balance of metal retains most of its finish. Grips have light wear, but remains serviceable.8) Reproduction Model 1942 Bayonet. 15 3/4" blued fullered blade. 20 1/4" overall. Blade marked on left ricasso "OL / flaming bomb / U.S. / 1943". Ribbed plastic grips. Green plastic scabbard & belt hook. CONDITION: entire bayonet & scabbard have light wear & tiny handling marks, retaining a very good appearance. (02-24537-9/RW).
