ONE AND TWO AND THE COLD WAR ERA. No.1: WW1 British 18 PDR shell casing with flared top with four added floral rosettes and shallow punched flaming bomb. Casing has been polished, returning to patina. / No.2: WW2 Australian Napkin Holder fashioned from the base of a 40mm shell. The holder appears to be made from two belt buckles and plated with a silver coating. One side has the Australian 1943 penny and the reverse has the crown ("Australian Commonwealth Military Forces"). / No.3: Pair of Brass Candlesticks fabricated from 40mm shell bases and using an inverted 50 cal. machine gun case. / No.4: Ashtray fashioned from 57mm M23A2 shell casing with an inert 50 cal. machine gun cartridge mounted in the center. / No.5: Ashtray fashioned from an approximately 57mm shell. / No.6: Interesting German decorative display fashioned from a 37mm shell, mounted on a salvaged steel range-plate which is marked "RICHTUNG / GESCH". The central shell is flanked by two inert projectiles. / No.7: U.S. 20mm shell and projectile mounted on a base which appears to be marble. / No.8: Inert steel 40mm projectile marked only with "75" on the base. / No.8: Vietnam Era Ashtray fabricated from a 40mm M203 shell. Encircled with a belt of 7.62 NATO blank fired casings. CONDITION: items show light wear with patina and handling marks with appearance of light cleaning. (02-25740/RW). NON-GUN. $100-300.
