DIES AND GAUGES. No.1: Group includes 6 roll marking dies. The roll marking dies approx. 2 3/16" in diameter have concave faces to mark barrels. Markings include standard Winchester address & patent dates w/ the following models. Model 12-20 GA, Model 12-16 GA, Model 12-12 GA, Model 24-20 GA & Model 24-16 GA. One die has only address plus patent markings. Dies are marked w/ additional part numbers. CONDITION: dies are worn, turning gray & patina. / No.2: Machine Arbor used to hold the marking dies during use. Arbor is in worn, but good serviceable condition. / No.3: Winchester blued steel shot gauge giving the different sizes of bird shot, ranging from dust to BBB using a tapered slot which is also graduated in thousandths of an inch. Gauge is marked on the back "W.R.A. CO SHOT SIZES 18912KKK". CONDITION: gauge has worn faded blue w/ spots of very light oxidation. / No.4: Steel plug gauge w/ receptacle. Gauge marked "W.R.A. CO .264 WIN. MAG. MASTER 5-22-57". Handle markings include "G70C" barrel & MASTER (BALLSEAT). CONDITION: gauge is turning gray w/ spots of patina. / No.5: Gauge for 338 Win Mag. Depth. Marked "WRA CO" & "1 MASTER". CONDITION: gauge has wear & spots of very light oxidation. / No.6: Steel Master plate trapezium shaped measuring approx. 6" by 4 1/4" by 5/8" thick. Plate is marked on front "M-1-REC. MASTER PLATE. / FOR REF. ONLY.". Small faint enshielded "S" in lower left corner. The plate is housed in a fitted wooden box w/ hinged cover. Box is marked on top "MODEL-M- / MASTER PLATE / For Reference Only". The box is marked inside w/ a hand-stamped "SA" & contains 7 graduated locating pins which fit very tightly in the holes, in the master plate. CONDITION: plate has the appearance of light wear & scattered spots of peppery oxidation. Box has wear, staining & numerous handling marks. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (02-24457/RW).
