1) Two 1775 Samuel Adams, copied manuscript letters, fabulous patriotic content, both 2 pages, one framed so both sides can be read. Good overall, cracked at folds, light fading, light staining & soiling. 2) 22 military postal covers mounted on large piece of cardboard with pasted captions, 5 are Confederate, 12 are US Civil War patriotic, others from Boxer rebellion, & Span-Am War. Fair as mounted on board with glued labels, light fading. 3) William McKinley letter signed as congressman on "Committee of Ways and Means" stationery July 24, 1888 with envelope. Letter is fine, cover soiled, folded. 4) James Monroe, signed land grant as president, 1820, for military bounty of land in Arkansas. Vellum document is fair, folds, stains, all discernible. 5) Andrew Jackson, secretarial signed land grant, 1836 for military bounty of land in Arkansas. Vellum document is good overall, folded, soiled exterior. 6) 17" x 13" framed "Wanted Poster" concerning abduction of "CHAS. A. LINBERGH, JR", two images of the Lindbergh baby. Not removed from frame, fair overall, cracks and folds, paper mat covers portions of edges, but text appears complete. And few other miscellaneous pieces. (02-23243/JS). $700-900.
