PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm (32 ACP). S# 177666. Bbl. 4". Blade front sight. U-notch rear sight. All visible matching numbers. This interesting pistol was made in 1918 & it was accepted into Imperial German Army service as denoted by Prussian Eagle on the front of the trigger guard. The right side of the slide has what appears to be a Weimar police marking that reads "M.S.K. HAMB" possibly for a Hamburg police unit but this style of marking differs from known Hamburg police guns. Blue finish. Checkered hardwood grips. MAGS: 1-8 rd. CONDITION: grips appear cleaned w/ checkering appearing flat. Grips otherwise show a couple small chips & some light dings. Police marking is faint & area around it may possibly have added blue finish. Balance of metal retains 80% original blue w/ some oxidation on front strap, scattered fading & some edge wear. Very good bore w/ some dried grease. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Curtis H Halvorson. (23-5817/MJC). CURIO. $500-800.
