FINGER LOOP. 15.5" overall, 10.5" meaty spear point blade, .32" thick. Filed oval iron cross guard with integral forged finger loop, it fits hand well with the finger loop. Brass ferrules, peened iron cap, bulbous wood grip. Once in the renowned collection of author & historian Robert H. McCauley (1913-1979). Knife still has McCauley's inventory tag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2005 bill of sale stating collection history and possible Confederate association. Page showing similar finger loop pictured in "CONFEDERATE BOWIE KNIVES", "an interesting piece of engineering". CONDITION: good to very good overall. Blade has old sharpening, staining and pitting.
