31" overall, upswept tapering 24.5" blade, etched with scrolls & rampant bull on both sides, forged iron hilt with curled down quillons, pierced pommel, shagreen wrapped wood grip. The wide scimitar shaped blade was fashioned in styles found in the middle east. Several similar examples can in found in museum collections worldwide. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: collection notes. CONDITION: very good overall, cleaned iron patina, welded repair to old break in the large thumb ring, blade has staining and pitting, chip in cutting edge.
