PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH CASE. Cal. 44. S# A5216. Bbl. 8". Model 1860 Army single action percussion revolver mfg. in Italy by Uberti and imported by Replica Arms Inc. in 1969. Left side of the bbl. is marked "Cal.44", with "REPLICA ARMS INC/ MARIEETA. OHIO./ MADE IN ITALY" and a pair of Italian proofs marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with the Uberti logo, with a pair of Italian proofs and the Italian date code "XXV" (1969) marked on the right. Cyl. is engraved with Colt's naval engagement scene. Frame, hammer, and loading lever exhibit a case colored finish, with the bbl., cyl., and rear grip strap exhibiting a blue finish. Brass trigger guard with 1-piece plain wood grip and slotted back strap. Frame is cut at the recoil shield for a stock attachment. Brass blade front sight with V-notch rear sight on hammer. Cyl. and bbl. are matching via apparent assembly # "114". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: vintage unmarked brown leather holster. Revolver is also accompanied by a wood display case featuring a red felt interior and containing a brass powder flask and spare blued steel mainspring. CONDITION: case colored parts retain the majority of their case colored finish, exhibiting some spots of wear fading to gray patina. Blue parts show some light to mild edge wear, with some superficial handling marks. Mirror bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grip shows scattered superficial marks and minor impressions, but otherwise remains sound. Case shows scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. Holster shows general overall wear, with areas of crazing present overall. Stitching is torn along the left edge of the holster. (01-29139/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
