BREECHLOADING RIFLE WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX & RELOADING ACCESSORIES. Cal. 45-90. S# S00679. Bbl. 31 7/8". 1885 High Wall single shot breechloading rifle mfg. in Italy by Uberti in 2001. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "A.UBERTI-ITALY" (repeated on upper receiver tang), with the cal. designation marked towards the breech. Underside of the receiver is marked with the Italian date code "BP" (01), followed by Uberti's catalog #, and an Italian proof, with the S# marked on the lower tang. Frame, hammer, breechblock, trigger, and lever exhibit a case colored finish, with the bbl. and buttplate exhibiting a blue finish. Checkered wood forearm and straight grip stock with steel trapdoor buttplate. Dovetailed blade front sight with dovetailed V-notch semi-buckhorn rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box, as well as a box containing x4 20-rd. boxes (80-rds. total) of PMC 45-90 ammunition, x2 20-rd. boxes (40-total) of Starline 45-90 unprimed brass cartridge cases, x1 Lyman (Item #: 7460499) reloading die set, as well as 2 tang mounted aperture rear sights and x1 dovetailed globe front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original case colored finish, exhibiting some areas of fading in contact areas (most notably on the lever). Blued parts are excellent, with metal components exhibiting a thin layer of dried grease overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows a few small superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good overall. Box shows mild exterior wear, but otherwise remains sound.
