Cal. 6.5 Carcano. S# ZZ5220. Bbl. 33 1/4". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on bbl. & stock as arsenal reworked. WW1 update of an Italian Vetterli rifle to 6.5 Carcano. Bbl. has 1884 date & Torre Annunziata arsenal marking. Arsenal rework blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. No ramrod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1891 Carcano bayonet that appears shortened with a 10 1/2" blade & scabbard. Bayonet shows areas of cleaned pitting & edge wear. Scabbard throat is missing a screw & scabbard metal tip cleaned to gray bright with oxidation. CONDITION: stock has arsenal refinish appearance with a few long grain cracks on both sides of stock, a few chips, small arsenal type repairs, scattered staining, handling marks & dings. Metal is mostly a gray patina with scattered pitting, oxidation, dings edge wear & handling marks. Action gets hung up when hand cycled & may need attention to work better.
