SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 Ga. S# 26537 (1895). The Damascus barrels have been cut to 26 1/2". Top matted rib has extension & ivory bead. Receiver has accented with light scroll engraving with sides engraved "ITHACA GUN CO." Engraving extends to hammers & trigger guard bow. Action features double triggers & extractors. Receiver flats have patent dates "B / 16". Splinter forearm with J hook retention, ebony tip & matching numbered iron. Round knob pistol grip stock with LOP: 13 3/4" to Ithaca buttplate. CONDITION: barrels show good damascus pattern with gray patina appearance showing scattered spots of corrosion. Forearm lug on bottom rib has been reattached. Frame has gray patina appearance with light spots of corrosion. Wood has been heavily sanded with heavy varnish applied with handling marks. Fair worn buttplate. Bores show heavy pitting. Barrels show minute gap to breech face. (01-25416/MD). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
