Cal. 45 ACP. S# 2122671. Bbl. 5" Type 18 High Standard. Mfg. 1945 for Army contract of 59,300 units. Correct Keyes Fibre sm. ring brown plastic grips. Correct checkered safety tab & serrated slide stop; both w/out undercuts. Other corrected features include: Type E variation 5 serrated hammer, 7 rib arched mainspring housing w/ lanyard loop, short stamped trigger w/ checkered face, "FJA" inspection mark, square notched rear sight (proper contoured front but w/out serrations) plus "P" proof on frame & top of slide. Consignor states purchased from noted military author, Scott Duff, in June 2006. MAGS: 1 very good to excellent Scovill 7 rd. CONDITION: Near excellent appearance with some very minimal function wear. Typical light internal function wear within slide yet bbl. has new unused appearance. Very clear markings with slide having much darker appearance than frame and other parkerized small parts. 2 small brown oxidation spots on front strap & some similar marks in ribs at lower half of mainspring housing.
