Cal. 12 Ga. S# 865819. Bbl. 20" cyl. bore. Left side of bbl. has standard 2 line marking w/o “P” proof mark. Choke marking is “MOD”. Right side of bbl. at breech has No. 2 stamped over an illegible smaller marking. Bbl., action & stock have no visible military marking. Six row handguard of reproduction style w/ brass bead. Parkerized metal finish. Top rear of receiver has hand marked “16” over scratched marking “PPD” indicating possible police use. Left side of receiver above trigger guard is stamped with S# 865819 that indicates 1963 production. This number is higher than those associated w/ South Vietnamese government contracts (50000-71999). This gun does not have the “S” prefix S# normally found on U.S. Vietnam era production. Grooved walnut pump handle & pistol grip stock w/ unmarked grooved plastic buttplate. Web sling on added commercial style rear swivel. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Remington Model 1917 U.S. marked bayonet w/ scabbard. CONDITION: metal retains 70% dull parkerized finish showing substantial carry wear. Wood has dark worn finish showing scratches, marks & dents. Stock is cracked at head. Very good bore.
