Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# S23283. Bbl. 20" plain cyl. bore w/ Raybar front sight. Receiver & bbl. have matching S#'s. Parkerized finish. Top of bbl. & receiver have "P" acceptance marks. Right side of action marked "U.S". Ring-turn pattern forearm & oil finished walnut stock w/ hard plastic buttplate. According to old Ithaca records quoted in Walter Synder's book "Ithaca Featherlight Repeaters", a unique S# system was assigned to the 1962-1963 government contract. Records shows that 22,000 Riot guns S# S1000-S23,499 were shipped to Oakland Army Terminal, Oakland, CA from 11-27-62 through 1-31-63. Vietnam Era Ithaca's are among the scarcest US military shotguns. CONDITION: Appears unissued retaining over 98% parkerized finish showing only normal slide wear on mag. tube.
