O/U TARGET GUN WITH FINE FLORAL ENGRAVING BY CREATIVE ART AND CASE. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# E856. The 29-1/2" demi-bloc barrels fitted with medium width low matted ventilated rib are engraved "IVO FABBRI - BRESCIA" "VACUUM REMELTING STEEL" on top barrel either side of rib. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with 2002 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Coin finished low profile O/U action is fitted with pinless sidelocks with hidden screw under flap on right lockplate. Action features blocked out safety and single non-selective trigger. Action is nicely filed and top fence is deep relief carved with olives and olive leaves. Balance of action and lockplates are engraved with full coverage large swags of flowers, foliage and ribbons in a background of small scroll. Bottom of action is engraved "IVO FABBRI" on the bottom loop of a folded ribbon. Engraver's signature "Creative Art U. Talente" is on trigger plate. S# is in gold on matching trigger guard tang. Extreme pistol grip buttstock is made of a superb piece of wildly marbled and dramatically figured flesh tone European walnut and measures 14-1/8" over thin black decelerator pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching one piece full forend has Anson type release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: U .728 O .728. Restriction: U .020 (Mod). O .034 (Full). Wall thickness: U .032. O .032. STOCK: DAH: 1-7/8". DAC: 1-1/2". CAST: about 5/8" off. LOP: 14-1/8". WEIGHT: 7lb. 10oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in a tan leather case with stitched leather corners by Nizzoli. Interior is lined in burgundy cloth with a paper Ivo Fabbri label in lid. Case contains 3 Torx type screw drivers and a Fabbri marked trigger pull profile information sheet with peak force, travel, take up, over travel and energy specified and graphed. CONDITION: very fine. Showing very little use. Barrels retaining nearly all fine factory blue with a few minor marks. There is some staining most likely with minor pitting and frosting associated found mostly on beads of action. There are also some dark spots on left lockplate; all of this may clean. Otherwise action retains essentially all of its matt silver finish. Stocks retain essentially all of their original oil finish with one or two minor dings difficult to discern. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically fine. Case is fine with some bumps and rubs, straps and handle are good. Interior cloth has some rubs and some minor soiling. (23-1705/MGM).
