RIFLE. Cal. 44-75 Ballard Everlasting. S# 5116. Bbl. 30" octagon measuring 29/32" across flats at muzzle. Top flat has 4 holes w/ plug screws for apparent scope base attachment. German silver blade rocky mountain front sight w/ semi buckhorn sporting rear sight. Non-rebated frame action w/ the Brown trigger & single trigger ring lever. Ebony tipped schnable forearm & straight gripped walnut stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. CONDITION: bbl. retains 80% lightly faded blue showing edge wear. Action finish is faded to a mottled gray. Wood has added coat of varnish over scratches & marks. Left side of forearm has a hairline crack extending from the action. Bore retains strong rifling showing scattered spots of pitting.
