PETER KOCH MODELLWERK. Scale armorer's model J.M. Voith 26cm Minenwerfer (Mine Thrower) as used by Germany during World War I, mfg. by Peter Koch Modellwerk. Data plate on mortar tube is marked "-g.m.M.W.H.-/ von J.M. Voith/ Heidenheima.Brenz", with "Modelliert von/ PETER KOCH/ Modellwerk G.m.b.H./ =COLN-NIPPES.=" marked on the carriage data plate. Mortar tube, some small parts, as well as the carriage wheels are comprised of aluminum, with the carriage body itself being comprised of brass. Metal components exhibit a green painted finish overall. CONDITION: very good overall, with scattered areas of flaking to the green painted exterior, and with bare metal components exhibiting some scattered spots of age related discoloration. Fire adjustment knobs on mortar base and on carriage function appropriately when actuated by hand. A nice example of a quality made armorer's model of a German World War I Minenwerfer and carriage.
