Cal. 16 Ga. 2 3/4" / 7x65R. S# F1268. The 25 5/8" bbls. are fitted w/ full length matted rib holding w/ U-notch rear & silver bead front sights. Tops of bbls. are stamped w/ maker, steel & chamber info along w/ “MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY”. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped w/ 1963 German Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" 16 Ga. & 7x65R rifle cartridge. Coin finished blitz action has rifle selector on top tang & Greener type side safety. It also features pin type cocking indicators on top, crossbolt 3rd fastener, sideclips & dbl. triggers (front set). Action is embellished w/ some sprays of scroll within sm. scroll borders. Trigger plate is marked w/ original Sauer caveman logo. Steel trigger guard has scroll on bow. Lightly fiddle figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/2" over Sauer marked hard rubber buttplate. Stock features hogback comb, shadowline right hand cheekpiece & point pattern grip checkering. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .665", L .665". Restriction: R .018" (LIGHT MOD), L .022" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .039", L .040". STOCK: DAH: 3 1/16". DA REAR OF HOGBACK: 2 3/16". DAC: 1 3/4". LOP: 14 1/2". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: good, bbls. retaining perhaps 20% original blue, mostly gray splotchy patina. Action w/ cleaning to brightened coin finish. Stocks w/ old oil refinish have many marks. Checkering worn. Shotgun bores are shiny. Rifle bore is also shiny but shows some erosion at throat. Action is tight. Mechanically good. (22-4903/MGM).
