PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 38133. Bbl. 3 1/8". 2nd Variation Model 1913 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. Top of the slide is marked "J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL.", followed by the J.P. Sauer logo, with "PATENT" marked on the left and "CAL. 7,65." marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. (minus the chamber area), which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "S&S" checkered brown hard rubber grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame (left side and top of tang), slide (underside), bolt, firing pin, as well as the slide end cap. MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting mild edge wear, some spots/areas of light to mild wear and thinning, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-2365/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
