SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 8mm Nambu. S# 50230. Bbl. 4 5/8". Type 14 Nambu semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Kokubunji arsenal under Nagoya supervision in 1938. Left side of the frame is marked with Kanji characters denoting the model designation, with the right side exhibiting the Kokubunji arsenal insignia, S#, as well as the "13.6" Showa date. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for some small parts, which are strawed. Bolt assembly is in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. All numbers are matching, save for the locking block and bolt. A number is written on the interior of the grips in pencil but is no longer legible. MAGS: one 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear and thinning, with varying degrees of surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-4092/MLW).
