Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 112796. Bbl. 19". "Mum" removed by grinding. Type 38 characters are intact. Left receiver rail has Kokura interlocking circles. Receiver bridge and left side of barrel have triangle in circle. Barrel is marked "S" on left side. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Inverted V front sight with protective ears. Oval bolt handle knob. Small tang checkered safety knob. Correct type dust cover. 17 1/8" Steel slotted tip cleaning rod. Hardwood stock set. Two piece buttstock construction. Flat type buttplate. Side swivels with period brown leather sling. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear and handling marks throughout with added finish. Metal retains 80% thinning, lightly worn blue finish with spots of very fine oxidation. Bore is shiny with worn lands. PROVANANCE: the Collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (23-5949/RW). CURIO. $300-500.
