Overall length: 39 1/2”. Blade length: 26". Blade has an irregular wavy hamon. There is a gilded copper habaki and 2 seppa above & below the tsuba. Tsuba is gilded brass of the standard 4-cherry blossom design. Nakago has a single mekugi-ana with a 2-character signature on one side and 4-character signature on the other. The tsuka has a matching fuchi & kabuto-gane. Brown/green tsuka-ito with white same beneath. Menuki are 3 gilded brass 10-petal cherry blossoms on each side. Standard military saya in dark green paint with bronze mounts. CONDITION: blade has a very good polish and temper line is readily apparent. There are no chips or delamination in the blade. Tsuka shows light overall wear with some loss to the same. Saya shows very light wear with no notable damage. PROVENANCE: Estate of Travis Frost. (02-19806/BF). $700-900.
