Cal. 52. NSN. "American Gunsmiths" by Frank sellers list John Walker is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania from 1780-1807 making Flintlock Kentucky Rifles. Oct. 38" bbl. w/ 1" across at flats. Dovetail globe posts front sight, open dovetail for rear sight & open hole for tang sight. Rebated lock. Pinned maple stock w/ hardwood ramrod & brass furniture including crescent buttplate & finger curl triggerguard. CONDITION: barrel has dark brown patina appearance with corrosion throughout & vice marks around lock area. Lock shows dark patina with cleaning around maker's marks. Wood shows varnish over numerous dings & marks along with epoxy repaired cracks, 12+ plug repairs around lock & replacement wood piece on rearward portion of lock. Dark pitted bore. Mechanically fine. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (01-27742/MD). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
