Cal. 20 Ga. S# 106. Bbls. 27" choked Full and Full. Mfg. early 1800's in London by renown firearms maker Joseph Manton (1766-1835); operated until 1838 by Manton's son, George. Classic English style with Crown V and I proofs on barrels that are both numbered 106 as is lower tang. Checkered straight grip with rectangular initial shield behind top tang. Metal buttplate with long inletted tang extending into comb. Hammers, locks (marked "Manton"), trigger guard, forend tip and rear barrel tang are all engraved. Ebony ramrod with brass ends. CONDITION: fair overall with light damage to include separated wedge iron of barrels, no nipples, crack in stock by lower rear of barrels, small chip at toe plus cleaned oxidation on trigger guard and buttplate. Older applied extra stock finish, light handling marks, and wear in checkered grip area. Functional hammers / triggers. Poor oxidized and pitted bores. Nice London wall hanger by famous maker.
