MODEL 32 CROWN GRADE TRAP 410 O/U SHOTGUN. Cal 410, 3". S# 1156. Bbls. 28" Action features full coverage vine type scroll engraving surrounding woodland game scene on both sides. Left side features Gold inlaid crouching fox with 3 flushing gold inlaid mallards. Right side features woodland vignette with Gold inlaid pointer and 3 flushing gold pheasants. Both sides of receiver bear engraver's signature "EB" (Eric Boessler). Gold inlaid crown is found on bottom of action and top of opening lever. Action completely surrounded by gold wire border inlay. Chamber area ornamented with touches of vine type scroll with gold wire inlaid borders. Gold plated single selective trigger. Skip line checkered forend & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo stock with replacement Old English rubber butt pad. LOP: 14" over pad. CONDITION: action appears to have had bluing removed at rear along stock line. Remainder of action retains 97% original blue. Trigger guard has areas of thinning finish. Rear of rib appears to have repair at chamber with 2 1/4" area of missing finish having reapplied matting and a couple pitts. Chamber area near rib also show a couple pitts. Remainder of bbls. retain 95% bluing. Buttstock appears refinished with softening of sharp edges and mismatched lighter appearance. Forend appears original with light wear, small impressions, notable at right side rear, and light handling marks. Bright shiny bores.(25-1370/BH). MODERN. $3,000-5,000.
