BEAVERTAIL FOREND AND MILLER SINGLE TRIGGER. Cal. 12 Ga. S# FWS11933. The 26" bbls. with raised solid matted rib are marked "L.C. SMITH" "Field GRADE" on top of right bbl. and Hunter Arms info on left. Bbl. flats are stamped with serial number, grade & Hunter proofs. Splinter is not reinforced. Casehardened field grade single sighting plane action is marked "L.C. SMITH" on each lockplate. Action features nonautomatic safety and Miller non selective single trigger. Capped pistol grip buttstock of plain American walnut measures 13 1/2" over old "white line" pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Braced, late style beavertail ejector forend has usual "J" spring and knurled button release in oval escutcheon. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS.: Bore Diameter: R: .728", L: .727". Restrictions: R: .007" (IC), L: .013" (MOD). Minimum Wall Thickness: R: .036", L: .036". STOCK: DAH: 2 1/2+". DAC: 1 1/2+". CAST: neutral. LOP: 13 1/2". WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 10 oz. CONDITION: good "as found" bbls. retaining most of their original blue with considerable silver wear at breech end. Action and lockplates retain most of their casehardening color considerably silvered around bottom and on fences. Traces of blue remain on trigger guard. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their original varnish. Considerably crazed, and with wear at grip. Checkering moderately worn and dirty. Bores are bright. Action is tight.
