Cal. 12 ga. S# 333528. Case colored sidelock action w/ pre-1913 no. 2 engraving. Engraving features a single quail on each sideplate. Sideplates, action & trigger guard have highlights of arabesque scroll. Trigger guard bow is marked w/ initials "IES". Breech end of right bbl. of both sets is marked "I.E. Silverthorn". Double triggers. Extractors. Splinter forearm has ebony tip & circular hard rubber dog's inset in uncheckered diamond. Hard rubber capped pistol grip checkered walnut stock. LOP: altered to 14 1/2" over a Pachmayr trap pad & wedge shaped wooden spacer. DAC: 1 5/8". DAH: 2 1/2". Stock is cast off. Original bbls. of Crown steel are shortened to 26 1/2". Chambers are lengthened to 2 3/4". Bore diameter: R: .722 L: .722. Choke constriction: both are cyl. bore. Minimum wall thickness: R: .032 L: .030. Large silver colored front sight w/ white mid bead. Second set of 32" bbls. are added later & numbered to gun. Water table is marked "CHAMBERS / 3 / INCHES". Bore diameter: R: .727 L: .725. Choke constriction: R: .017 L: .037. Minimum wall thickness: R: .036 L: .036. White front & mid beads. WEIGHT w/ 32" bbls: 8 lbs, 4.6 oz. Mfg. 1911. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is stored in a custom made wooden box w/ brown felt interior having provisions for both sets of bbls. Length is 34 3/4". Width is 12 1/4". Height is 4". Box exterior shows scratches & marks. CONDITION: action retains 30% lightly visible case colors in protected areas w/ balance fading to silvery gray. Original bbls. retain 70% lightly faded blue w/ areas of light corrosion. Good bores. Added 32" bbls. retain 70% lightly faded blue showing spots of corrosion. Very good bores.
