SKEET GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 2811RE (1918). Factory records indicate that this gun was shipped with 30" barrels and had automatic ejectors and regular weight frame. It has since been custom altered to a skeet gun with addition of single trigger and beavertail forend. It presently has 26 1/16" barrels with broad matted rib. L.C. Smith info is on tops. Standard weight action features non automatic safety and single selective Hunter "One Trigger". Action is engraved in usual Ideal grade fashion with stylized acanthus. Capped pistol grip stock of streaked American walnut measures 13" over thin brown "Decelerator" pad. Grip is checkered. Newer beavertail ejector forend has usual "J" spring and knurl button release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .726". R .727". Restriction: L .000" (cyl). R .000" (cyl). Wall thickness: L .029". R .031". STOCK: DAH: 2 9/16". DAC: 1 5/8". CAST: neutral. LOP: 13". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 14 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: L.C. Smith Collectors Association letter. CONDITION: good as mostly refinished. Barrels retaining nearly all good quality reblack. Action and lockplates retain most of their faded case colors. Original buttstock heavily refinished. Newer forend retains about 80% of its finish. Bores are shiny, action is tight, mechanically good.
