Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 215863. The 30" barrels fitted with slightly raised concave matted rib are marked "LC SMITH Trap GRADE" and with Hunter Arms info on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with S# and grade. Typical L.C. Smith sidelock action is fitted with non-automatic safety and double triggers. Action is engraved in normal trap grade style with sprays of scroll. Lockplates are engraved with trap shooters on both plates. S# is on trigger guard tang. Straight grip stock of well streaked and lightly figured European walnut measures 14-3/4" over open sided Hawkins pad. Fancy border checkering is at grip. Long schnabled beavertail ejector forend has normal "J" spring and knurled release in guitar shaped escutcheon. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L.729. R .728. Restriction: L .031 (full). R .026 (mod). Wall thickness: L .029. R .030. STOCK: DAH: 2-1/16". DAC: 1-7/16". CAST: about 1/2" off. LOP: 14-3/4". WEIGHT: 8 lb. 2 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in a A&F marked V.C. case with leather corners lined in purple cloth. Case contains cleaning equipment and Purdey marked oil bottle and snap caps. CONDITION: good as restocked. Barrels retaining most of an old re-black. Action shows cleaning to gray with silver highlights. Newly made buttstock by David Trevallion retains nearly all of its oil finish. Newer forend wood shows repaired crack down center and refinishing. Checkering is original on buttstock and re-cut on forend. Bores are shiny with evidence of dent removal in right barrel about 15" from muzzle. Mechanically good. Ejectors slightly out of time. Case is fine with marks and scratches in leather. One corner detached and in case. Central rectangle has leather removed. Handle is good. Interior cloth is fine with some marks and compressions.
