Stunning 14kt yellow gold engagement ring features a single round brilliant cut 2.44ct diamond in a white gold double prong crown (8 prongs total). The diamond has been examined by GIA Gem Trade Laboratory (report will accompany the ring) and states the stone is 8.67-8.73 x 5.38mm and is 2.51ct with a clarity grade of VS1 and K color (light/colorless). Also accompanying the ring is a GIA Graduate Gemologist appraisal with the estimated weight by formula of 2.44ct and having good symmetry. The yellow gold shank is marked "14k" and what appears to be hallmarks which are illegible. Total weight of the ring is approx. 2.8dwt (including the diamond). Ring was originally from the estate of Mary Hillegass whose husband created "Cliff Notes". SIZE: 8. CONDITION: Two of the prongs show wear, otherwise very good. (05-493/JJ). $8,000-12,000.
