MORE. This large lot consists of 14 carved wooden bows of African origin. None of the bows have strings remaining but all seem to be complete. The lot further includes 12 hand-forged long spear points measuring roughly 58" overall. All of the points seem hurriedly forged and do not show fine details. Also included are 7 wooden poles and metal pole heads with 1 axe handle. CONDITION: all of these items are made by the indigenous people of Africa and were likely used by them prior to being collected by Lewis Drake. All items show average use wear along with some storage wear. No major damage is noted. PROVENANCE: from the renowned collection of quality sporting arms from Lewis Drake together with inventory of Lewis Drake Associates. (02-23563-7/BF). $600-900.
