SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 22822b. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium while under German occupation, circa. January to August of 1944. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL-BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Left side of the frame and slide are marked with an Eagle/WaA140 proof and eagle firing proof, with the frame also being marked "MR" on the forward trigger guard web. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown bakelite grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching, with the full S# marked on the slide and "822b" marked on the frame and bbl. MAGS: 2 13-rd. 1 mag. is blued with a partial Eagle/WaA140 proof present on the spine, with the other being parkerized and unproofed. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked "clg/44" beneath the closure flap strap. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, with some scattered spots of light pitting present overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Brown bakelite grips are excellent, showing few light superficial handling marks overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some wear and light age related cracking overall. (24-6913/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
