PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. B7794. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 (German designation: P.35(p)") semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Radom and assembled by Steyr. These late "A" and "B" block pistols are believed to have been assembled at the same time as the late "K" block pistols, likely due to severe damage damages incurred from Allied bombing. The left side of the slide is marked with a Radom Eagle/77 proof, followed by "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.". Left side of the frame is marked with a Radom Eagle/77 proof, with a small partially discernible Steyr Eagle/623 proof marked on the left side of the forward trigger guard web (indicating final assembly at Steyr). Major metal components exhibit a phosphate finish, with small parts exhibiting a dull blue finish. Bbl. is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. Mag. release button is uncheckered, exhibiting a flat surface with machining marks typical of late war production. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety (right), slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 phosphate 8-rd. mag., marked with a Steyr Eagle/623 proof on the right side. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal phosphate finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning (primarily on edges), as well as some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some superficial marks from handling and storage. A very attractive, late war production Vis.35 pistol. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-353/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
