SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# B5106. Bbl. 4 5/8". wz.35 (German designation: "P.35(p)" ) semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Poland at the Radom arsenal while under German occupation. Interestingly, many "A" and "B" S# block pistols are believed to have been assembled around the same time as the late "K" S# block pistols at Steyr, likely due to severe damages incurred by Allied bombing. Left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567" above a Radom Eagle/77 proof and German eagle firing proof. Left side of the forward trigger guard web is stamped with a Steyr Eagle/623 proof (indicating final assembly at Steyr), which is also present on the left side of the bbl. lug. Major metal components exhibit a phosphate finish, with several small parts exhibiting a blue finish. Bbl. is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight, and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety (right side), slide (underside), and bbl. (left side of lug). MAGS: 1 8-rd. phosphate mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster mfg. by Steyr. Interior of closure flap retains illegible traces of its original white ink markings. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original phosphate finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks (especially on frame around slide catch lever), as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation and age related discoloration overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good to excellent overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, with varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing present overall. (24-6849/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
