MODEL 94AE ROY ROGERS & GABBY HALES TRIBUTE LEVER ACTION RIFLE WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. Cal. 45 Colt. S# 6263598. Bbl. 20". 1 of only 300 Model 94AE Roy Rogers & Gabby Hayes tribute lever action rifles mfg. by Winchester for the America Remembers (Formerly American Historical Foundation). The left side of the forward portion of the bbl. is marked "114 OF THREE HUNDRED", with "AMERICA REMEMBERS AHL MECHANICSVILLE VA." marked over the top, and "ROY ROGERS and GABBY HAYES TRIBUTE" on the right in gold characters. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard Winchester factory markings towards the breech. Sides of the receiver feature foliate scroll engraving on a matte black background. Left side of the receiver features a 24k gold portrait of a horse above a banner reading "TRIGGER", followed by a 24k portrait of Roy and Gabby above a banner reading "HAPPY TRAILS from ROY and GABBY". The right side of the receiver features a 24k portrait of Roy and Trigger rearing above Roy Roger's signature, followed by another gold portrait of Roy and Gabby riding their horses. The scroll engraving extends to the large loop lever, which features a stylized "R/ R" on either side. Receiver and bbl. bands exhibit a nickel plated finish, with the hammer, trigger, and lever exhibiting a gold plated finish. Bbl., mag. tube, and bolt are blued. Plain wood forearm and straight grip buttstock, with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate. Dovetailed blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. Hammer is threaded for an extension attachment. Receiver features a crossbolt safety and left side mounted saddle ring. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: shipping box and generic black plastic hard case containing a letter of authenticity numbered to this rifle via "114". CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture is excellent. Shipping box shows mild exterior wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-2778/MLW). MODERN. $800-1,400.
