SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUNS. 1) BELGIAN BROWNING MODEL A5 SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 113347. Bbl. 27 1/2". A5 semi-automatic shotgun mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale and imported by Browning Arms Company. Left side of bbl. is marked "MODIFIED 12 SPECIAL STEEL", followed by Belgian proofs, with "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY OGDEN UTAH" marked over the top of the breech, and "MADE IN BELGIUM" marked on the right. Underside of bbl. is marked "CHOKE 18.3". Left side of receiver is marked with Fabrique Nationale's mfg. information, with Belgian proofs marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock with Pachmayr brown rubber recoil pad, and checkered wood forend. Buttstock has been sanded and revarnished. Bead front sight is absent. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bolt, and forend (interior). Bbl. is mismatched and is numbered "103251". CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to gray and brown patinas, as well as mild surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered dings throughout. Bolt is not under pressure, and does not function appropriately. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a sizeable loss on the left side of the wrist. Underside of forend exhibits a large crack. (24-2073/MLW). 2) REMINGTON MODEL 11 SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 294704. Bbl. 25". Model 11 semi-automatic shotgun mfg. by Remington UMC. Left side of bbl. is marked with Remington's mfg. and patent information, with "FULL" and "XS" marked towards the breech. Left side of receiver is marked with the Remington trademark logo above "MODEL 11" and the S#. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Checkered wood pistol grip buttstock with Pachmayr brown rubber recoil pad and checkered wood forend. Solid matte rib with Lyman adj. choke and aluminum bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some areas of pitting that are present beneath the finish. Very bright bore, exhibiting what appears to be a thin layer of grease throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Wood furniture exhibits scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-2073/MLW). BOTH CURIO. $400-600.
