1) REMINGTON MODEL 34 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 141177. Bbl. 24". Model 34 bolt action rifle mfg. by Remington in June of 1935 (final year of Model 34 production). Top of the bbl. is marked with Remington's 2-line mfg. and patent information, followed by "MODEL 34", with the Remington trademark logo, cal. designation, and "PD" date code marked on the left towards the breech. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly, which exhibits a nickel plated finish. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip buttstock with grasping grooves and flat case colored steel buttplate. Dovetailed blade front sight with receiver mounted Lyman No. 55R adj. aperture rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, a consistent scattering of light surface oxidation, as well as some scattered patches of mild oxidation overall. Bolt assembly retains a bright appearance. Buttplate retains good case coloring, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of light to mild surface oxidation. Very bright bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered marks, scratches, and small impressions, with some scattered spots of apparent white paint. (26-361/MLW). 2) REMINGTON MODEL 24 SEMI-AUTOMATIC TAKEDOWN RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 74134. Bbl. 19 3/8". Model 24 semi-automatic takedown rifle mfg. by Remington in December of 1928. Top of the bbl. is marked with Remington's 3-line mfg. and patent information, followed by the Remington trademark logo, with the cal. designation and "XW" date code marked on the left. Left side of the receiver is marked "MODEL 24" above the S#. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white, and the trigger, which exhibits a case colored finish. Sanded and refinished plain wood schnabel tip forearm and pistol grip buttstock with steel buttplate. Dovetailed blade front sight with dovetailed and screw fastened V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and bbl. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Bbl. exhibits a series of patches of mild to moderate oxidation on the muzzle crown and left side towards the muzzle. Trigger retains good case coloring on the sides, with the front face having worn to gray patina. Very bright bore, exhibiting a couple small spots of light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks and impressions, as well as some finish loss, with the forearm exhibiting a chip on the right side at the receiver area. (26-372/MLW). BOTH CURIO. $500-800.
