REVOLVERS. 1) ITALIAN REPRODUCTION COLT 1860 ARMY SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 44. S# 31450. Bbl. 7 15/16". Italian reproduction of a Colt Model 1860 Army revolver produced by an unknown mfg. Left side of the bbl. is marked "44 CAL.". Front face of cyl. exhibits 2 Italian proof marks. Circumference of cyl. is engraved with Colt's naval engagement scene. Brass trigger guard with 1-piece plain wood grip. Frame features elongated screws and notches in the recoil shield, with a slotted steel back strap for a stock attachment. Fixed brass blade front sight with hammer V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, cyl., and bbl. CONDITION: metal components have been heavily cleaned in-the-white, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting. Brass trigger guard has acquired a mellow patina. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grip shows some superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (01-28190/MLW). ANTIQUE. 2) IVER JOHNSON "DEFENDER 89" SINGLE ACTION SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 32 S&W. NSN. Bbl. 2 7/16". Defender 89 spur trigger revolver mfg. by Iver Johnson circa. 1889-1899. Top strap of the frame is marked "DEFENDER 89", with no other markings present. Metal components exhibit a nickel plated finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "DEFENDER '89"" scroll embossed grips. Octagonal bbl. with fixed blade front sight and no provision for a rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original nickel plated finish, showing areas, patches, and streaks of flaking that show through to gray patina and oxidation. Relatively bright bore, exhibiting several patches and rings of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, although the cyl. base pin retention latch does not index and retain the base pin. Right grip is good, with the left panel exhibiting a large crack and chip that runs through the screw slot. (01-28903/MLW). ANTIQUE. 3) COLT NEW LINE SINGLE ACTION SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 22 S. S# 41486. Bbl. 2 3/16". New Line single action spur trigger revolver mfg. by Colt in 1876. Left side of the bbl. features an etched panel marked "COLT NEW 22", with Colt's 2-line address stamped across the top, and patent information on the underside. Left side of the frame is marked "22 CAL". Metal components exhibit a nickel plated finish overall, with the hammer and trigger having been blued. Brass frame is fitted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. Tapered bbl. features flat sides with a fixed half-moon blade front sight and frame U-notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and bbl. Cyl. is mismatched via "3548". Interior of right grip is mismatched via a handwritten "1481". CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory nickel plated finish, showing scattered marks and dings, with areas of flaking showing through to exposed brass and gray patina on steel parts. Trigger and hammer have faded to a mottled gray patina. Dark bore, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Hammer pulls rearward to the first click and freezes, with the cyl. not moving. Grips show scattered handling marks and impressions, but otherwise remain sound. (01-28904/MLW). ANTIQUE. $500-950.
