1) WINCHESTER MODEL 90 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 S. S# 681238. Bbl. 24". Model 90 slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1925. Left quarter flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2-line mfg. and patent information, followed by the model and cal. designations, with "SHORT" after the "22" having been restamped at one time. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Reproduction grooved wood pump and plain straight grip buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and screw fastened V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear, with scattered spots and patches of light surface oxidation present overall. Bore exhibits a consistent scattering of dark moderate pitting, while retaining fair rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture is very good, with a few superficial marks and minor impressions. (25-5317/MLW). 2) EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 1903 SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 22 Auto. S# 13954. Bbl. 20". Model 1903 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1904 (second year of production). Top of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2-line mfg. and patent information, with the model and cal. designations marked towards the breech. 1-piece wood forearm features added apparent pearl diamond inserts and outward pointing guillemets on either side. Straight grip buttstock has been sanded and carved with a relief silhouette of a dog on the left, with a boxed inlaid (material unidentified) buck on the right. Buttstock exhibits an added hole over the top of the wrist. Buttstock screw on receiver tang is an improper replacement. Dovetailed blade front sight with dovetailed Marbles buckhorn U-notch rear sight. Complete with intact mag. tube. CONDITION: metal components have faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting varying degrees of dark oxidation and pitting overall. Bore exhibits scattered patches and areas of dark mild to moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. Forearm is possibly from a lever action rifle, exhibiting shallow bands where bbl. bands would have been mounted at the forward and rear ends. (25-5336/MLW). 3) WINCHESTER MODEL 74 SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 57405. Bbl. 24". Model 74 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Winchester. Rifle is virtually unmarked save for the S# on the left side of the receiver. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Markings on bbl. has been nearly completely obliterated due to refinishing. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip stock with inverse checkered steel buttplate. Underside of forearm has been fitted with an aftermarket sling swivel. Toeline of stock has been drilled for a sling swivel, which is absent. Dovetailed aftermarket Brownell brass beaded blade front sight with standard elevation adj. U-notch rear sight. Top of the receiver is drilled with 5 threaded holes. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting consistent light to mild surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with some chipping present on the pistol grip. (25-5356/MLW). 4) WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 S. S# 244680. Bbl. 24". Model 1890 slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1905. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2-line mfg. and patent information, with the cal. designation marked towards the breech. Metal components exhibit a blue finish, with a layer of lacquer present overall. Sanded and refinished grooved wood pump and plain straight grip buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. Dovetailed ground down aftermarket Marbles blade front sight with dovetailed V-notch rear sight, missing elevation slide. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray and brown patinas, with scattered spots and patches of light to mild pitting. Receiver and bbl. exhibit various dings and marks, with the left side of the receiver exhibiting a dent that does not effect serviceability. Bore exhibits scattered spots and patches of dark mild to moderate pitting, while retaining fair rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting 2 cracks, each stemming from the receiver tangs.
