HELMETS. Lot of 4 German M35, M40, M42, and Czech M30 helmets, including: 1) German Pre-War / WWII double decal M35 stahlhelm. Helmet exhibits a gray painted finish featuring a shielded Third Reich insignia decal on the right, with a shielded Heer decal on the left. Interior of helmet flare is marked with batch # "4787" (rear) and with mfg. and size marking "ET64", indicating mfg. by Eisenhuttenwerke. Liner, chin strap, and rivets are absent. CONDITION: helmet exhibits general overall wear, scattered handling marks, and scattered spots of chipping, with exposed metal exhibiting light surface oxidation. 2) German WWII single decal M40 stahlhelm. Helmet exhibits textured gray painted finish, featuring a Luftwaffe decal on the left side. Interior of helmet flare is marked with a faint "1297" batch number (rear) and mfg./size code "ET66", indicating mfg by Eisenhuttenwerke. Liner, chin strap, and rivets are absent. CONDITION: helmet exhibits wear, superficial handling marks, and scattered chipping, with light to mild surface oxidation present overall. 3) German WWII single decal M42 stahlhelm. Helmet exhibits a gray/green painted finish, featuring a Heer decal on the left side. Brown leather liner. Chin strap is mostly absent, exhibiting a cloth replacement. Interior of helmet flare is painted ":42" above the batch # "1573" (rear), with the mfg. code and size "ET66" marked on the left, indicating mfg. by Eisenhuttenwerke. CONDITION: helmet exhibits scattered marks and wear to its painted finish, with chipping and oxidation present on the edges of the rim and on the interior of the flare. Liner has deteriorated, exhibiting age related cracking, crazing, tears, and losses overall. Small sections of the original chin strap remain present. 4) Czech single decal M30 helmet. Helmet exhibits a green painted exterior, with a Heer decal on one side. Liner is absent. CONDITION: helmet shows scattered handling marks, some spots of flaking, as well as scattered spots and patches of oxidation. (02-26186/MLW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
