Shotgun is virtually unmarked, save for the cal. designation, which is marked on the left side of the bbl. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood pistol grip stock, with grooved pump. Brass bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning, with varying degrees of oxidation present overall. Fair bore, exhibiting oxidation and pitting throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a taped repair at the wrist. (24-4878/MLW). 2) REMINGTON MODEL 1100 SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA, 2 3/4". S# L025382V. Bbl. 30". Model 1100 semi-automatic shotgun mfg. by Remington. Standard markings, with scroll engraving present on either side of the receiver. Left side of the receiver is etched "RANCOAST", with "HOWARD RANCOAST" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered fleur-de-lis wood pistol grip buttstock and forend. Matte V/R with aluminum bead front sight. Trigger assembly and buttplate are absent. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with varying degrees of oxidation present overall. Poor bore, exhibiting varying degrees of oxidation throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks, minor impressions, and spots of wear from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the model and cal. designations above Sears Roebuck's mfg. information. Left side of the receiver is marked with the model and cal. designations above the S#. Aluminum receiver exhibits a blue anodized finish, with the bbl. exhibiting a blue finish. Checkered wood pistol grip buttstock and forend. Brass bead front sight, with unmarked adj. choke. Trigger and bolt assemblies are absent. CONDITION: good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some light wear, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as a few spots of surface oxidation. Bright bore, exhibiting mild pitting throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks, impressions, chips, and gouges, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
