RELATED BOOKS. Lot of 5 antique sporting / hunting related books, including: 1) Duck Shooting: Along the Atlantic Tidewater", edited by Eugene V. Connett. 2) "Shooting Simplified" by J.D. Dougall. 3) "On the Wing: A Book for Sportsmen" by John Bumstead. Interior of first page of book exhibits a former owner's name above the year "1927" in pencil, with "Will J. McKee/ Indianapolis/ October 30. 1875." handwritten in ink on the following page. 4) "Shooting: Its Appliances Practice and Purpose" by James Dalzeil Dougall. 5) "Roland Clark's Etchings" by the Derrydale Press with copyright date of 1938. Book is housed within its original cardboard case with a lid label that reads "ROLAN/ CLARK'S/ ETCHINGS/ THE DERRYDALE PRESS/ Copy Number 533". Book cover is comprised of red fabric and khaki canvas. CONDITION: books are good, showing general wear with age related discoloration present on the paper and some tearing at the spines at the paper. "Shooting Simplified" shows moderate exterior wear. with a section of the front pages in "On the Wings" having disconnected from the spine. "Roland Clark's Etchings" box shows mild exterior wear and some water related staining, with a tear at one corner of the box body. The book itself is excellent, remaining in its apparent original wax paper wrapping. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Berrien Moore III. (02-25877/MLW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
