This lot consists of the following bayonets: 1) 86/93 Lebel Bayonet. Brass handles. Mismatch but correct scabbard present. CONDITION: brass handles are a dull yellow with dings, oxidation & age wear. Other parts are varying degrees of gray with edge wear, oxidation, some pitting & dings. 2) Czech VZ-24 Bayonet. Muzzle ring removed likely done in German service. Scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet & scabbard are an overall dull gray patina with oxidation throgohut & some pitting. Wooden handles show a couple cracks, some chipping around screw, dings, finish loss & handling wear. 3) Russian AKM Bayonet. Bakelite grips with Izhevsk marking. Scabbard also present. CONDITION: blade shows some oxidation & dried grease. Other metal parts of bayonet are a gray color with oxidation & some edge wear. Bakelite grips & scabbard show some dings & handling wear. 4) French 1892 Berthier Bayonet. Scabbard present. CONDITION: blade is partially bright with some light chipping along blade, light pitting & oxidation. Other metal parts are a dull gray oxidized patina with some pitting. Handles show dings, staining & age wear. 5) French M1874 Gras Bayonet. Correct but mismatched scabbard present. Blade dated 1881. CONDITION: blade turning gray with some oxidation & edge wear. Other parts turning dull patina with oxidation & dings. Scabbard shows overall flaking & oxidation. 6) Argentine 1891 Bayonet. No scabbard present. Ground off crest. CONDITION: very good with light oxidation & age wear. 7) Brazilian M1908 Bayonet. Made by Weyserberg. Matching numbered leather scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet are varying degrees of dull gray patina with oxidation, dings & age wear. Grip panels have a darkened appearance with heavy wear, gouges, small cracks & dings. Scabbard shows scattered crazing, flaking & age wear. Brass parts of scabbard polished to bright with oxidation, dents & dings. 8) Unmarked Bayonet. Appears similar to a German 84/98 but thinner & unmarked. Overall length 12 1/2" with 8" blade. No pommel button present. Scabbard & leather frog present. CONDITION: grips show checkering & handling wear. Metal parts of bayonet are varied shades of gray patina with oxidation. Frog shows overall crazing, cracking & flaking. Scabbard mostly bright color with oxidation. (02-27011/MJC). NON-GUN. $500-800 for lot.
