Lot consists of 9 U.S. bayonets and 1 bolo knife, including: 1) U.S. M1905 bayonet mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1906. Left side of the ricasso is marked "US/ 60720", with "S A/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1906" marked on the right. Blade is in-the-white. 2-piece smooth wood grips. Complete with khaki canvas wrapped scabbard with leather drag. CONDITION: blade is good, showing light pitting and age related discoloration. Crossguard and pommel exhibit wear and thinning that is fading to gray and brown patina, with some spots of light pitting. Grips show scattered handling marks, but are otherwise sound. Scabbard shows some age related discoloration, with some crazing on the leather drag. 2) U.S. M1905 bayonet mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1918. Right side of the ricasso is marked "US/ 788598", with"S A/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1918" marked on the left. Blued finish with 2-piece smooth wood grip panels. Complete with khaki canvas wrapped scabbard with brown leather drag. CONDITION: blade retains large amounts of its arsenal blue finish, showing areas of wear fading to gray patina, with some light surface oxidation. Crossguard and pommel have mostly faded to gray patina. Grips show scattered marks and impressions, with the left panel exhibiting several notable cracks. 3) U.S. M1905 bayonet mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1906. Right side of the ricasso is marked "US", with "R.I.A./ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1906." marked on the left. Blade has been cleaned and is mostly in-the-white. 2-piece smooth wood grip panels. Complete with green synthetic scabbard. CONDITION: blade is good, as heavily cleaned, showing some light pitting with numerous nicks and a few chips to the blade face. Steel fittings exhibit a gray patina. Grips show scattered marks and impressions, with the left panel exhibiting a crack that stems from the pommel. Scabbard is good overall, with some pitting on metal fittings. 4) U.S. M1905 bayonet mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1914. Left side of the ricasso is marked "S A/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1914", with "US/ 608378" marked on the right. Dark matte blue finish with 2-piece smooth wood grip panels. Complete with green synthetic "USN/ MK 1" marked scabbard. CONDITION: blade is good, retaining the majority of its matte blue finish. Cross guard and pommel show areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina. Grips show some scattered marks and impressions, with a chip present at the top left corner of the right panel. Scabbard is good with scattered handling marks. Metal fittings exhibit a gray patina. 5) U.S. M1905 bayonet mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1917. Left side of the ricasso is marked "RIA/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1917", with "US/ 265776" marked on the right. Blue finish with 2-piece smooth wood grip panels. Complete with green synthetic scabbard. CONDITION: blade retains the majority of its blue finish, showing some areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with a couple of nicks and chips to the blade face. Cross guard and pommel exhibit a mostly brown patina. Grips are good with some scattered marks and impressions. Scabbard shows some scattered handling marks, with metal fittings exhibiting a gray patina. 6) U.S. M1905 bayonet mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1910. Left side of the ricasso is marked "S A/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1910", with "US/ 452569" marked on the right. Blue finish with 2-piece smooth wood grip panels. Complete with green synthetic "USN/ MK 1" marked scabbard. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their arsenal blue, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina. Grips are good, with scattered marks and minor impressions. Scabbard shows some scattered handling marks, with metal fittings exhibiting a gray patina. 7) U.S. M1905/42 bayonet mfg. by American Fork & Hoe Co. in 1943. Left side of the ricasso is marked "AFH/ U (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB) S/ 1943". Parkerized finish with 2-piece grooved brown synthetic grip panels. Complete with green synthetic "USN/ MK 1" marked scabbard. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal parkerized finish, showing some areas of light to mild wear and thinning. Pommel shows some spots/patches of light to mild surface oxidation. Grips show scattered handling marks, but are otherwise sound. Scabbard shows some scattered handling marks, with metal fittings having acquired a gray patina. 8) U.S. M1917 bayonet mfg. by Remington in 1917. Left side of the Ricasso is marked with "1917" over "REMINGTON" within a circle, with an Eagle head/11, Flaming ordnance bomb over "US", and an "X" marked on the right. Blue finish with 2-piece 2-groove wood grips. Complete with green painted leather scabbard with metal fittings. CONDITION: blade retains a mostly gray/brown patina, showing scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Crossguard and pommel are good. Grips are very good, with few handling marks. Scabbard remains malleable, exhibiting some general wear overall. 9) U.S. M1917 bayonet mfg. by Winchester in 1917. Left side of the ricasso is marked "1917" above an encircled "W", with an eagle head, flaming ordnance bomb over "US", and "X" marked on the right. Right side of pommel is stamped "322". 2-piece 2-groove wood grip panels. Complete with black leather scabbard with steel and brass fittings. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their blue finish, with the balance having faded to a gray patina. Grips show a few marks and impressions, but are otherwise sound. Scabbard remains malleable, with steel fittings having acquired a gray/brown patina, showing some scatted patches of dark surface oxidation. 10) U.S. M1904 Hospital Corps. bolo knife mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1913. Left side of the blade is stamped "S A/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1913", with "U.S./ 31698" marked on the right. Brass crossguard, rivets, and toe, with 2-piece finger groove wood grip panels. Complete with brown leather holster marked "C.F.H.CO.1." and "ROCK ISLAND/ ARSENAL/ 1912./ T.C.C" on the rear. CONDITION: blade is good, showing scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting with a few chips and nicks to the blade face. Brass fittings have acquired a mellow patina, with the crossguard possibly having been cleaned at one time. Grips show scattered marks, but are otherwise sound. Left panel exhibits a small crack that stems from the bottom rivet the the butt. Scabbard remains malleable, exhibiting are related cracking and crazing, with metal fittings exhibiting wear with varying degrees of oxidation. 11) 13 assorted U.S. M7 scabbards. CONDITION: scabbards show varying degrees of wear with most exhibiting oxidation on metal fittings. (02-24590-2/MLW). NON-GUN. $1,000-1,500.
