This lot consists of the following French bayonets: 1) French 1886 Lebel Bayonet. Full-length "Rosalie" French 1886 Lebel bayonet with mismatch but correct scabbard; scabbard is missing its tip. CONDITION: handles show scattered dings, scratches, and oxidation. Blade shows scattered light oxidation. Crossguard and scabbard have a dull gray patina with overall oxidation and scattered pitting. 2) Gras 1874 Bayonet. Grass 1874 bayonet with correct but mismatched scabbard. Brass pommel and hardwood handles. CONDITION: metal parts show scattered oxidation with some patina and areas turning to a gray patina. Handles show scattered dings and handling wear. Scabbard shows scattered oxidation, flaking, and some sticker remnants. 3) Gras 1874 Bayonet. No scabbard is present. Brass pommel and hardwood handles. CONDITION: pommel has a yellow patina with dings and oxidation staining; other metal parts have a dull gray, oxidized patina. Handles show scattered dings and handling wear. 4) Gras 1874 Bayonet. Grass 1874 bayonet with correct but mismatched scabbard. Brass pommel and hardwood handles. CONDITION: grips show heavy handling wear, dings, and staining. Blade is partially bright with scattered oxidation; other metal parts, including scabbard, have a dull gray, oxidized patina. 5) French 1866 Chassepot Bayonet. Matching scabbard is present. Brass handles. CONDITION: handles have a dull yellow patina with oxidation and some dings. Blade is turning gray with scattered oxidation.
