WEAPONS. Lot of primarily U.S. bayonets and edged fighting weapons, including: 1) x1 U.S. Model 1982 Krag rifle bayonet dated "1903". Left side of the ricasso is marked "1903", with "US" marked on the right. 2-piece plain wood riveted grip scales. CONDITION: metal has faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of light surface oxidation, a couple patches of oxidative etching, as well as age related discoloration overall. Grip scales show some scattered handling marks, but otherwise remain very good overall. 2) U.S. Model 1892 Krag rifle bayonet dated "1899". Left side of the ricasso is marked "1899", with "US" marked on the right. 2-piece plain wood riveted grip scales. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark mottled gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots / small patches of light to mild pitting and surface oxidation. Grip scales show scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Front of right grip scale exhibits a small chip. 3) U.S. M1 Garand rifle bayonet mfg. by Utica Cutlery Co. Left side of the ricasso is marked "U. C./ U. (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB) S.". Spine of handle is stamped "H". Metal components exhibit a dull black finish. 2-piece grooved black synthetic grip scales. Complete synthetic scabbard marked with Danish crown over "FKF/ 1955" on the throat. CONDITION: blade retains large amounts of its black finish, exhibiting areas of wear fading to gray patina, as well as some spots of light to mild pitting. Grip scales show scattered handling marks and scratches, but otherwise remain sound. Scabbard shows some flaking and wear to its green painted finish, but otherwise remains very good overall. 4) U.S. Model 1905E1 M1 Garand rifle bayonet mfg. by Union Fork & Hoe in 1943. Left side of the ricasso is marked "U.F.H./ U. (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB) S./ 1943". Metal components exhibit an apparent blue finish overall. 2-piece grooved black synthetic grip scales. Complete with custom unmarked period brown leather sheath. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their apparent blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Grip scales show scattered marks, but otherwise remain sound. Sheath shows scattered marks from handling and storage, with some age related cracking and crazing. 5) U.S. M1 Garand bayonet mfg. by American Fork & Hoe. Left side of the ricasso is marked "AFH/ U (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB) S". Metal components exhibit a chrome plated finish overall. 2-piece grooved black synthetic grip scales. Complete with a black enamel finished M1 scabbard. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their chrome plated finish, showing scattered spots of flaking and oxidation, with spots of light pitting present beneath the plating. Grip scales show scattered marks and scratches, but otherwise remain sound. Scabbard shows some flaking to its black painted exterior, with a chip present on one side. 6) U.S. M7 M16 rifle bayonet mfg. by Bauer Ordnance Corp. circa. 1968-1970. Top flat of the guard is marked "US M7" and "BOC" along the sides of the blade. Metal components exhibit a matte black finish overall, save for on the pommel which is parkerized. 2-piece checkered black synthetic grip scales. Complete with green synthetic and nylon "K-M8A1" scabbard. CONDITION: very good, with some light handling marks and wear. Grips are very good overall. Scabbard shows some scattered handling marks, but otherwise remains sound. 7) U.S. Navy MK 3 MOD 0 diving / survival knife. Left side of the ricasso is marked "MK 3/ MOD 0", with "2V376" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a matte black finish overall. 1-piece checkered black synthetic grip. Complete with black synthetic and nylon scabbard. CONDITION: blade retains large amounts of its original matte black finish, showing some mild wear. Crossguard and pommel exhibit areas of wear fading to gray patina. Grip scales and scabbard are very good overall. 8) U.S. WWI Mark I trench fighting knife. Right side of the brass grip / knuckle duster is marked "U.S. 1918/ L.F.&C-1918". Steel blade and domed skull crusher. Complete with "L.F. & C./ 1918" marked blued steel scabbard. CONDITION: blade has faded to a gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of light oxidation and pitting, areas of age related discoloration, as well as scattered chips along the front edge of the blade. Brass handle has acquired a mellow patina. Scabbard shows areas of wear fading to gray patina, with some patches of mild to moderate oxidation on one side. 9) U.S. Model 1917 bolo knife mfg. by Plumb in 1918. Left side of the ricasso is marked with a partially legible "ML/ LOUIS/ 1918", with "U.S. MOD/ 1917 C.T." marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a reapplied black enamel type finish overall. 2-piece wood grip scales features added finger grooves, with 6 notches carved onto the rear of the right panel. Complete with khaki canvas and leather scabbard mfg. by Brauer Bros. in 1918. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied finish, with the blade showing some light wear, as well as sharpening marks on either side. Grip scales show some marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Scabbard shows wear and age related discoloration, with varying degrees of crazing on leather. 10) Case XX machete. Blued finish with 2-piece plain wood grip scales. Complete with custom stapled faux leather sheath. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original blue finish, showing areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina. Grips are very good with some superficial handling marks and impressions. 11) U.S. Navy Mk II machete. Left side of the blade is marked "MADE IN SHEFFIELD/ ENGLAND". 2-piece plain black synthetic grip scales. Complete with khaki canvas "U.S.N./ MK. 2" marked scabbard. CONDITION: blade exhibits a mottled gray patina, showing scattered patches of light pitting and age related discoloration. Grip scales each exhibit a broken repair at and around the upper rivet on either panel. Scabbard shows age related discoloration and wear, but otherwise remains sound. 12) Unidentified Mauser pattern bayonet (possibly Brazilian). Ricasso markings have been scrubbed, with "b1178" marked on the right side of the guard. Upswept hooked quillon with 2-piece plain wood grip scales. Complete with brass fitted leather scabbard. CONDITION: metal components retain a mostly bright appearance, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting overall. Grip scales show scattered marks and impressions, but otherwise remain sound. Leather on scabbard has stiffened, with brass fittings having acquired a mellow patina. 13) Japanese Type 30 Arisaka bayonet mfg. by Kanaashiyo Sakugan. Right side of the ricasso i marked with a "K" within a star, followed by the Nagoya arsenal insignia. Straight guard with 2-piece plain wood grip scales. Complete with unmarked steel scabbard. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark gray patina, exhibiting varying degrees of oxidation and pitting overall. Grip scales show cracking, with the bottom rivet plate being absent. Scabbard exhibits consistent moderate surface oxidation and pitting. 14) Browning skinning knife. Rear is marked "DAD FROM/ KATIE 07". Stainless steel construction with textured black rubber handle. Complete with brown leather sheath. CONDITION: blade has been warped and is currently unusable. Grip is good. Sheath is good. 15) German Gewehr 98 brown leather receiver cover. Brass fittings. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting consistent light age related cracking and light to mild crazing. 16) U.S.G.I. M1 Carbine cleaning kit. Complete with handle and extension in green canvas carrier. CONDITION: good, with mildew spots. 17) Unidentified brown leather pouch. Rear is marked "HRS". CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting age related cracking and crazing, with some repairs to stitching. 18) U.S. Navy trunk by Hartmann. Green painted exterior embossed with Navy insignia on lid. Trunk contains all previously noted bayonets and items. CONDITION: good, with scattered handling marks and some chipping to the paint.
